How Can I Become a Tutor?

Step 1: Complete the tutor application:

Step 2: Provide two recommendations from faculty by asking them to complete the Tutor Recommendation These can be emailed to grunseicht@3588612.com or uploaded into the Online Tutor Application.

Note: If you are a transfer student, you must also provide the Center for Academic Success and Tutoring with an unofficial transcript from other colleges/universities you have attended.

Upon completion of all of the above, if the Center is hiring we will arrange for an interview.

When is the Center for Academic Success and Tutoring Hiring?

The Tutoring Center generally hires the start and end of the semesters, with our largest group of hiring happening prior to the fall semester. We do, however, collect applications on a rolling basis and will reach out when all of the requirements above are met, and we have a need that you match.

Please be aware, while there are general trends in the subjects we hire for, every semester has different needs based on who is already employed with us and what subjects or courses students are requesting. We often have needs to fill in the middle of the semester too, and keep all applications on file until a student requests otherwise or they graduate.
